Tim Alvine is entitled to his opinion about Dan Hardy being a joke and that he can’t wait for him to be shut up. I really don’t agree with his journalism angle on this one by calling a fighter a joke, Hardy deserves a bit more cred than that base remark. Also I’m not sure what fight he was watching when Hardy faced Swick, as far as I was concerned that was a lot more than just sheer luck on the night.
I expect GSP to win but I have a gut feeling this will give Hardy the kudos he deserves, win or lose. Part of this reasoning is due to GSP’s absence, part of it due to Hardy’s determination to succeed against the odds.
Where’s the shame in losing to one of the greatest ever in the sport of MMA? It’s not going to shut him up at all, Hardy has got absolutely nothing to lose going into this bout and even if he loses, he’d know damn well he lost to the best this sport has to offer and that is nothing to be ashamed of.
Hat off to Hardy for taking an opportunity given to him. The doubters wouldn’t be moaning half as much if it was Mike Swick instead of Hardy facing GSP. Unfortunately for those same doubters, Swick didn’t take his chance and someone stepped up.

Turns out I was right…

honestly cant wait for GSP to shut up Dan Hardy.. Dan Hardy is NO
competition for GSP and quite frankly he was lucky to beat Mike Quick
Swick … Thiago Alves is a better competitor that Dan Hardy.. Dan
Hardy is a JOKE!!

Mir/Carwin Hardy/GSP is the best card we have seen since UFC 100 (the
last time GSP fought) and Hardy is talking lots of trash.
GSP is a heavy favourite and by all means should dominate YET again..
Carwin and Mir is gonna be ridiculous!! Think Carwin will knock him
out?
