Dream 9 will take place on Tuesday May 26, 2009 at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan.  This card has some excellent match ups and then they throw in Jose Canseco to fight the giant Hong Man Choi.  Canseco will be making his MMA debut and hopefully last.  There will also be an open weight class called the “Super Hulk Tournament” featuring Sapp vs. Minowa, Man Choi vs. Canseco, Nortje vs. Sokoudjou, and Mousasi vs. Hunt.

Also slated is the Dream middleweight title fight that was vacated by Gegard Mousasi due to his move to LHW featuring a rematch between Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and Jason “Mayhem” Miller. And the Main Event of the night will be Tatsuya Kawajiri squaring off with JZ Calvancante.

Live on Saturday June 6, 2009 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri on Showtime. We have for the Main Event Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields (22-4-1 ) taking on “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler (18-4-1) at a catchweight of 182 lbs.  Just added to an already solid card will be “The Pitbull” Andrei Arlovski  (15-6) squaring off with the undefeated Brett ” The Grim” Rogers (9-0).  Also on the card fresh off his beat-down of Frank Shamrock is Nick Diaz (19-7-1) vs. the tough as nails Scott Smith (15-5-1).  We are sure to get the best of both fighters here, but well see if Nick will stand and trade with Smith.  Shamrock wanted to stand last fight where he thought he had an advantage and was proven that was far from the truth. Two more potentially explosive fights are between Phil Baroni (13-10) against Joe “Diesel” Riggs (29-10-1), and Mike Whitehead (23-7) vs. Kevin Randleman (17-12)  Strikeforce has definitely provided us with a great show for all MMA fans.

Live on Saturday June 13, 2009 the UFC will be held in Germany for the first time at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne. The main event of the night is between two MMA stars in Rich “Ace” Franklin (26-4) squaring off with “The Axe Murderer” Wanderlei Silva (32-9-1).  Both fighters have held Title belts, Franklin in the UFC for the middleweight division and Silva in Pride for the middleweight division.  We can expect them to give us a great main event as both fighters always leave it all in the Octagon come fight night.

Also on the card we have heavyweight stand out Cain Velasquez (5-0) taking on the crafty vet Heath Herring (28-14).  If Cain can manage to get past “The Texas Crazy Horse” he has a very bright future ahead of him.  Velasquez is taking to the game very quickly and getting better everytime he fights. We may also see Mirko Cro Cop (24-6-2) once again in the Octagon after a disappointing 1-3 in the UFC taking on Mostapha Al-Turk (6-4).  This would definitely be his last try if he is to lose. Another exciting fight we will see is between Marcus Davis (21-5) against English stand out Dan Hardy (21-6-1).
