UFC 93: Franklin vs. Henderson Odds
December 16, 2008
Live on Saturday January 17, 2009 at the O2 Arena in Dublin, Ireland. Rich “Ace” Franklin (24-3) will face Dan “Hollywood” Henderson (23-7) or as I like to call him “Decision Dan”.
Franklin besides getting two savage beat downs by Anderson Silva has been extremely impressive in the Octagon. His last loss other than to Silva came back in 2003 against Lyoto Machida. He is extremely well rounded and tough as nails.
Dan is going to give Franklin all he can handle. He has lost two of his last three fights, but looked very strong against Rousimar Palhares at UFC 88 scoring a unanimous decision victory. Hendo is always a dangerous opponent and loves to stand and bang. Expect to see fireworks when these two clash and this fight will be a toss to who will be victorious.
The winner of this fight will serve as the next coach on TUF 9 and will then fight Michael Bisping after the show is complete.
Dont Forget UFC 93 is in Ireland, so the fights will begin on Saturday 17 at 3:00 p.m. E.T. So make sure you get your bets in on time.

Got something to say?

[...] UFC 93 Odds [...]
[...] In the main event, “Hollywood” Dan Henderson returns to the Light Heavyweight division to take on former Middleweight champion Rich “Ace” Franklin. Henderson, a legend in the sport, has had limited success so far in UFC, having dropped his PRIDE Light Heavyweight Title to Quentin Jackson and then his Middleweight crown to Anderson Silva. A win over Franklin would go a long way toward restoring Henderson to the top tier of Light Heavyweights where he is accustomed to being. For his part, Franklin moved up to Light Heavyweight after being demolished by Anderson Silva twice. After an impressive dismantling of Matt Hammill, a win over Henderson could potentially put Franklin in place for a shot at his second UFC title. Franklin +110 / Henderson -140 [...]
[...] The semi main event sees a hotly anticipated rematch, with UFC Hall of Famer Mark “The Hammer” Coleman returning to the Octagon for the first time in ten years to take on Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. The last time these two men met, a near-riot broke out in the ring, with Coleman and his Hammer House team engaging in fisticuffs with Rua, his brother Murilo, and Wanderlei Silva. This matchup is chock full of question marks, but there’s no question that these two men legitimately dislike each other, which should make for an exciting fight. Rua -365 / Coleman +285 [...]
[...] UFC veteran Alan “The Talent” Belcher is set to throw down with Canadian import, top free agent, and PRIDE veteran Denis Kang in his first UFC appearance. Belcher will be looking to further cement himself as a valuable addition to the UFC roster, while Kang will be fighting to erase the memory of some recent losses and prove that he is more than just hype, and can cut it in the world’s biggest promotion. Belcher +275 / Kang -350 [...]
[...] In a bout which promises some explosive standup, heavy handed UFC veterans Marcus “THe Irish Hand Grenade” Davis and Chris “Lights Out” Lytle will go toe to toe. While both men also have solid submission games, it’s a safe bet that this one will be a stand up war, as words have been exchanged between the two fighters in the runup to the fight, with both promising to bang it out, and Davis asserting that whoever tries to take the fight to the ground is a pussy. Davis -135 / Lytle +105 [...]
